Expanding creative horizons far beyond ground-based support gear, Fiilex has officially announced the launch of the AL250. As the company’s first dedicated aerial lighting solution, this ultra-lightweight 30W fixture redefines location lighting by allowing filmmakers, commercial crews, and light-painting photographers to seamlessly mount professional-grade illumination onto a wide variety of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The dynamic output of the AL250 relies on an extremely condensed multi-chip configuration, packing high-intensity performance into a housing that weighs just 0.6 lbs (270 grams). Designed to operate entirely independently of the aircraft’s power system, the light enables creators to place a punchy, flicker-free light source into previously inaccessible overhead positions.

Drone-Rigged Illumination Capabilities:

• High-Output Aerial Efficiency: Delivers an impressive 200W tungsten-equivalent output while drawing a mere 30W of power. The light operates at a daylight-balanced 5600K color temperature with excellent spectral quality (CRI ≥ 93).
• Integrated Fresnel Optics: Features specialized internal Fresnel optics designed to focus the beam into a clean 38° angle, more than doubling the center lux intensity for a punchy, highly directed throw.
• Independent Battery Infrastructure: Powered by a removable, rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack that clips directly onto the housing, providing 25 minutes of continuous illumination at maximum power without draining the drone’s flight battery.
• Universal GoPro-Style Mounting: Equipped with a standard, integrated GoPro interface that allows the fixture to securely rig onto any drone or camera platform with a minimum payload capacity of at least 0.6 lbs.
• Passive Fanless Cooling: Built with an advanced thermal design featuring an aluminum heatsink and a fanless configuration, eliminating structural vibration and protecting internal components on long flights.
